Er betont, dass Patch 1.0.6 notwendig gewesen sei um ein paar drängende Bugs zu fixen und um – in Vorbereitung auf Patch 1.0.7 – Inhalte für neue Kommunikationsfeatures aufzuspielen und zu testen. Insgesamt wird Patch 1.0.7 von Diablo 3 nach dieser Aussage weniger ein Spielepatch als eher ein Battle.net-Patch werden. Patch 1.0.6 bereitete neuen Kommunikationsfeatures den Boden und so liegt der Gedanke nahe, dass möglicherweise neue oder verbesserte Chat-Features eingeführt werden, etwas, was sich viele Spieler seit langem erhoffen.
